Volunteerism

Many hands make light work.

When you participate in the work of the Lower Cape Outreach Council, you join forces with over 2,200 of your neighbors who believe that what we do is important to the quality of life we all enjoy here on the Cape Cod.

Aside from three part time staff members, over 300 volunteers manage our daily operations. Join us by working in one of our food pantries, in our front office, at Katy's Korner or by helping us with one of the many Special Events we conduct throughout our fundraising year.

LCOC Volunteers Make Wonderful Things Happen!

Attend one of our monthly membership meetings and discover how you can help us help our neighbors in need. Meetings are held the third Thursday of every month, except in July and August, at 9:30 AM in the basement of St. Joan of Arc Church in Orleans.

Right now, we are eagerly recruiting volunteers to work in our food program, our office, and in the Hope Chest, an upscale consignment and thrift shop located in the Friends' Marketplace plaza in Orleans.

People with all areas of interest and levels of skills are needed. It's a great way to help your neighbors in need while striking up acquaintances with dozens of community minded people right here on the lower Cape.
